Rakesh Mishra meets blast-affected families in Darbhanga, assures relief and rehabilitation, condemns miscreants’ disruption attempts, and appeals to voters to choose development and integrity on November 6.
Darbhanga, November 3, 2025
In the aftermath of a domestic cylinder blast in the Darbhanga Assembly constituency, Jan Suraj Party candidate and former Director General of Police, Rakesh Kumar Mishra, visited the affected families on Saturday. Offering condolences and support, he emphasized that in such tragic times, compassion and solidarity must take precedence over politics.
During his visit, Mishra highlighted the ongoing relief efforts led by the Jan Suraj Party, including medical assistance, provision of essential supplies, and rehabilitation support for victims and their families. The visit was briefly disrupted by a few miscreants attempting to create disorder, which the party condemned as a premeditated effort driven by fear of increasing public support for Mishra across Darbhanga and the Mithila region.
Addressing the disruption, Mishra stated that his years of service—as a police officer and now as a public representative—have strengthened his resolve to serve the community. He reaffirmed that his political vision is centered on service, integrity, and development, rather than personal power or gain.
“This is not a time for politics, but for humanity. Compassion is our greatest strength,” Mishra said, urging citizens to unite in support of recovery and relief efforts.
He appealed to the people of Darbhanga to exercise their democratic right responsibly on November 6 by voting for the ‘School Bag’ symbol, emphasizing that the choice before Bihar is clear: development, honesty, and progress over fear and coercion.
