Bollywood star Varun Dhawan has shared his powerful first look from the upcoming war film Border 2, and it has taken the internet by storm. The actor posted the image on his Instagram handle with the caption, “Desh ka Fauji, Hoshiar Singh Dahiya,” confirming that he will play a brave soldier inspired by real-life war hero Hoshiar Singh Dahiya.

The poster shows Varun in full military gear, holding a rifle amid a fiery battlefield. His intense expression and rugged appearance highlight the emotional and patriotic tone of the film. A Revival of an Iconic War Story

Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 is set to hit cinemas on 23 January 2026, just ahead of Republic Day. The film marks the return of one of India’s most iconic patriotic franchises. The original Border, released in 1997 and directed by J. P. Dutta, remains one of Bollywood’s greatest war epics. Nearly three decades later, Border 2 aims to bring the same emotion and heroism to a new generation.
