The 6th Neeraj Kavyaanjali Ceremony will be organized on Friday, July 19, at 7 PM at the Press Club of India in Delhi by the Mahakavi Gopal Das Neeraj Foundation Trust, Hindi Academy, and Press Club of India. Like every year, the Neeraj Foundation Trust has decided to honor a distinguished litterateur with the Neeraj Award. This year, the award will be bestowed upon the renowned lyricist Javed Akhtar, who has enriched Hindi literature and cinema with his exceptional songs and poetry, carving out a unique identity for himself.

On the significant occasion, prominent litterateurs and actors such as Mr. Anu Kapoor, film producer Mr. Boney Kapoor, film producer Rumi Jaffery, and patron of the Foundation Trust Mr. Upendra Rai will also be present. Additionally, famous poets from across the country like Mr. Surendra Sharma, Buddhinath Mishra, and Pratap Somvanshi will participate in the program. The Chief Guest will be the Minister of Sports and Cooperation of Madhya Pradesh, Vishwas Sarang, and the Very Distinguished Guest will be ADGP Punjab Police. Other special guests include Rishi Kumar, Secretary of Hindi Academy, and Ram Naresh Yadav, former MLC of the UP government.

During the program, there will be a special discussion on Javed Akhtar’s literary journey and his contributions, along with the narration of some of his major works to give the audience a glimpse into his literary talent. Other invited poets will also add colors to this literary ceremony through their poetry. The Neeraj Kavyaanjali Ceremony aims to promote Hindi literature and poetry and inspire new poets. Literature enthusiasts will have the opportunity to enjoy a unique evening of poetry.
