In a tragic turn of events, actor Noor Malabika Das was discovered deceased in her Mumbai apartment, with authorities suspecting suicide as the cause of death. Das, known for her roles in various web series, including her co-starring role alongside Kajol in the 2023 legal drama ‘The Trial’, was found in her flat located in Mumbai’s Lokhandwala area.

The grim discovery came to light after concerned neighbors alerted the authorities upon detecting a foul odor emanating from Das’s residence. Mumbai police promptly responded to the call, breaking open the door to find the 37-year-old actor’s body in a state of decomposition.

Das, a former air hostess with Qatar Airways, hailed from Assam and had been residing in Mumbai for her acting career. Her elderly parents, who recently visited her, have returned to Assam, unable to make the journey back to Mumbai. In a poignant gesture of friendship, fellow actor Aloknath Pathak took it upon himself, with the assistance of an NGO, to oversee the cremation of Das’s remains.

The tragic incident has prompted calls from the All Indian Cine Workers Association for a thorough investigation into Das’s death. They have urged Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis to ensure that the circumstances surrounding her passing are meticulously examined.

Das’s untimely demise has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, prompting an outpouring of condolences from colleagues and fans alike. As the investigation unfolds, the focus remains on unraveling the circumstances leading to the actor’s tragic end and providing closure to her grieving loved ones.
