ADKMAKERS Empowers 500+ Uttarakhand Families, Bridging Market Gaps for Rural Entrepreneurs

Updated At: November 8, 2025 5:54 PM

Dehradun, 8 November 2025

In a significant boost to rural livelihoods, ADKMAKERS PRIVATE LIMITED, a Haryana-based social enterprise with the vision of creating a Modern, Prosperous and Skilled India, has successfully empowered over 500 rural families across multiple districts of Uttarakhand through enterprise-based interventions and sustainable market linkages.

Working under the Rural Enterprise Acceleration Project (REAP) of the Government of Uttarakhand, ADKMAKERS has partnered with Cluster Level Federations (CLFs), Self Help Groups (SHGs), and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) to strengthen local entrepreneurship. The company has focused on improving product quality, branding, packaging, and direct buyer linkages — enabling rural producers, particularly women-led groups, to access better markets and achieve financial independence.

The enterprise is also associated with the IRMA ISEED Foundation of the Institute of Rural Management Anand (now Tribhuvan Sahkari University) under the Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India, aligning its mission with national goals of self-reliance and inclusive growth.

Speaking about the initiative, Mr. Rahul Dhingra, CEO of ADKMAKERS PRIVATE LIMITED, said, “Our mission is to empower small producers, SHGs, and rural entrepreneurs with the right skills, networks, and opportunities. Uttarakhand’s rural sector is rich with potential — by connecting traditional knowledge with modern market systems, we aim to create sustainable and dignified livelihoods for every household we touch.”

Through continuous handholding, training, and facilitation, ADKMAKERS has helped rural entrepreneurs move from subsistence to sustainability — turning local produce into market-ready brands and linking them with urban markets, exhibitions, and institutional buyers.

The company’s ongoing work under REAP is helping transform the rural enterprise ecosystem, making Uttarakhand’s villages self-reliant while showcasing the success of collaborative development between government, social enterprises, and community institutions.
