Emergency sirens to sound at 3 PM in Delhi as part of safety drill

New Delhi, May 9:

If you hear loud sirens near ITO this afternoon, there’s no need to panic; it’s only a test. The Directorate of Civil Defence will be testing air raid sirens installed at the PWD Headquarters, ITO, at 3:00 PM today.

The test will last for about 15 to 20 minutes, and the public is advised to stay calm. This information was shared through an official press release issued by the Office of the District Magistrate (Central), 14 Darya Ganj, New Delhi.

District Magistrate G. Sudhakar, who signed the press release, has urged that the public be informed in advance through social and electronic media to avoid any confusion or panic during the exercise.
