Alka Yagnik, a seasoned vocalist, has opened up about her battle with sensory neural nerve hearing loss, an uncommon illness. Alka Yagnik discloses her sickness on Instagram in a lengthy statement that she called a “sudden major setback.”

Alka began by writing, “To all my fans, friends, followers, and well-wishers,” next to an old photo of herself. She appealed for compassion and support from her Instagram followers on June 17.

Alka Yagnik stated, “A few weeks ago, as I got out of a flight, I suddenly felt unable to hear anything. After mustering some courage in the weeks following the experience, I want to break my silence today for all of my friends and well-wishers who have been wondering why I’ve been missing in action.”

She shared her diagnosis, writing, “My doctors described it as an uncommon sensory neural nerve hearing loss caused by a viral infection…This unexpected, huge setback has caught me completely off guard. Please keep me in your prayers as I try to come to terms with this.”

Alka Yagnik Warns Fans About the Dangers of Loud Music:

The 58-year-old singer cautions her listeners and coworkers about the dangers of wearing headphones or playing loud music. Also, I want to warn my younger colleagues and followers about the risks associated with loud music and headphones. I want to talk about the health risks associated with my work life someday. I want to rebalance my life and get back to you soon, with all of your love and support. At this crucial hour, your understanding and support will mean the world to me,” she said.

Singer Postpones Concerts:

Neeraj Mishra, Alka’s manager, stated that Alka Yagnik has had to temporarily postpone a number of her concerts and professional obligations owing to her illness.

Her manager stated that Alka Yagnik traveled from Mumbai to Goa approximately 2.5 months ago. When she got off, she lost hearing in one ear. After a day, she went to the doctor and was subsequently diagnosed with this unusual hearing loss.
