Amitabh Bachchan has reportedly acquired a plot of land worth Rs 14.5 crore in Ayodhya, the sacred town in Uttar Pradesh where the grand Ram temple is set to open later this month. The purchase, said to be in a seven-star enclave, was made through the Mumbai-based developer, the House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL). While the exact dimensions and details of the plot remain undisclosed by HoABL, industry insiders suggest it spans approximately 10,000 square feet.
Ayodhya has garnered attention in recent weeks, especially after Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new airport and renovated railway station on December 30. The highly anticipated consecration ceremony of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, situated on the 51-acre Sarayu, is scheduled for January 22. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be leading the dedication ceremony in Ayodhya.
Abhinandan Lodha, the chairman of HoABL, referred to the acquisition as a ‘milestone moment’ for the company, expressing excitement about welcoming Amitabh Bachchan as the ‘first citizen’ of The Sarayu. This location is approximately 15 minutes from the Ram Temple and 30 minutes from the Ayodhya international airport.
Amitabh Bachchan shared his thoughts on the investment, stating, “I am looking forward to embarking on this journey with The House of Abhinandan Lodha for The Sarayu in Ayodhya, a city that holds a special place in my heart. This is the start of a heartfelt journey into the soul of Ayodhya, where tradition and modernity seamlessly coexist, creating an emotional tapestry that resonates with me deeply.”
