Apple Slashes iPhone Prices in India: Know Here

In response to the Budget 2024 announcement that basic customs duty on imported mobile phones would be waived, Apple has lowered the cost of its products in India.

The reductions vary between Rs 300 and Rs 6,000.

In India, Apple has reduced the price of every iPhone model. Apple has reduced the price of iPhones built in India by 3–4% after Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced a drop in import levies on components from 20% to 15%.
The Cupertino, California-based tech giant has also dropped the price of its top-tier Pro models for the first time in India.

An indirect tax known as BCD is applied to imported products. It is typically determined using the product’s assessment value and can range from 0% to 100% based on the product’s HSN code and the country of import.

The cost of iPhones in India, including models 13, 14, 15, 15 Pro, and 15 Pro Max, has been slashed by as much as Rs 300 to Rs 6,000. It is noteworthy that Apple has, for the first time in the Indian market, lowered the price of the current Pro models.

The iPhones made in India, which include the iPhone 13, iPhone 14, and iPhone 15, will see a price reduction of about Rs 300 with the new pricing structure, which should soon start to appear on the Apple India website and for other online and offline retailers.The iPhone SE, on the other hand, will cost Rs 2,300 less. In the meantime, the Pro and Pro Max models’ prices will drop from Rs 5,100 to Rs 6,000.

The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models will be produced in India for the first time by Apple concurrently. The iPhone SE, iPhone 15, iPhone 14, and iPhone 13 are the only models that Apple currently produces in India. The technology giant currently doesn’t produce the Pro versions in India.

  • iPhone 15 Pro: Rs 1,29,800
  • iPhone 15 Pro Max: Rs 1,54,000
