In his statement, Rahman expressed:

The couple’s lawyer, Vandana Shah, confirmed the news and cited “significant emotional strain” as the reason behind the separation. Shah added that ongoing tensions created “insurmountable differences,” leading to the mutual decision to part ways.
Saira Banu initially shared a statement addressing the separation, which was later followed by a joint message from the couple. They emphasized the need for privacy and understanding as they navigate this transition.
The announcement quickly gained traction online, with fans and followers sharing their reactions. While many expressed their support for the couple, the use of the hashtag #arrsairaabreakup raised eyebrows, with some questioning its appropriateness.
Comments like “Who creates a hashtag for this situation?” contrasted with others who appreciated Rahman’s candidness. A user wrote, “Sending strength to both of them. These decisions are never easy.”
