Asha Bhosle’s granddaughter, Zanai Bhosle, is poised to make her acting debut in the biopic of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Zanai will portray the role of Rani Sai Bhonsale, Shivaji Maharaj’s wife, in filmmaker Sandeep Ssingh’s “The Pride of Bharat – Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj”. Asha Bhosle announced Zanai’s debut with excitement, expressing her joy and best wishes for her granddaughter’s journey into cinema.
Sandeep Ssingh, the director, also shared his delight in having Zanai in the film, highlighting her prestigious lineage as a descendant of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s family and the niece of the late Lata Mangeshkar. He praised Zanai’s talents as a singer, dancer, and performer, expressing confidence in her ability to portray Rani Sai Bai convincingly.
Rani Sai Bai, as Shivaji Maharaj’s wife, played a significant role in his life and reign, contributing greatly to his development as both a king and a person.
“The Pride of Bharat – Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj” is a grand-scale production set to release on February 19, 2026, coinciding with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti. It marks Sandeep Ssingh’s directorial debut in theaters and is presented by Immerso Studio and Legend Studios.
