RUDA Craft Fair to Continue Until August 11, 2024

The grand celebration of Rajasthani Teej Festival 2024, showcasing culture, tradition, and craftsmanship, started today with a vibrant cultural evening at Bikaner House on Pandara Road, New Delhi. This event marks the commencement of the week-long RUDA Craft Fair, which will run until August 11, displaying the finest arts and crafts of Rajasthan.
The Teej Festival featured traditional music, dance, and performances highlighting Rajasthan’s cultural heritage. The presence and performances of distinguished guests and artists enhanced the festive atmosphere.
Emphasizing the significance of this event, the Chief Secretary and Chief Residential Commissioner of the Government of Rajasthan, Mr. Sudhansh Pant, said, “The RUDA Craft Fair is not just an exhibition but a celebration of the skills and creativity of Rajasthani artisans. It provides them with an opportunity to reach a wider audience and promote their livelihood. We invite everyone to experience the beauty and diversity of Rajasthan at Bikaner House.”

Expressing his delight, the Principal Residential Commissioner of the Government of Rajasthan, Mr. Alok, said, “The Teej Festival is a celebration of our rich cultural heritage and traditions. Adding a musical charm to the cultural evening, renowned singer Sawai Bhatt mesmerized the audience with traditional Rajasthani songs. Expressing her happiness about the event, Additional Residential Commissioner Mrs. Anju Omprakash said, “The celebration of Teej Festival 2024 at Bikaner House is an honor for every Rajasthani expatriate. This festival beautifully reflects Rajasthan’s rich musical tradition. By organizing this handicraft fair, our government has made famous Rajasthani items available for purchase in a single venue for the people of Delhi.”
Notably, the RUDA Craft Fair at Bikaner House, ongoing until August 11, features a wide range of handmade products, including textiles, pottery, jewelry, and more. This fair not only offers visitors the opportunity to purchase authentic Rajasthani crafts but also provides artisans a platform to showcase their art and directly engage with the public.
