BKS Honors famous Cartoonist Uday Shankar and Dr. Lal Ratnakar at Solo Painting Exhibition “Mohabbat ke Rang”

New Delhi, November 16, 2024

The Bahumukhi Kalakaar Sangam (BKS) celebrated a significant milestone today at the All India Fine Arts & Crafts Society (AIFACS) Gallery, New Delhi, by supporting the solo painting exhibition “Mohabbat ke Rang” by renowned artist Dr. Lal Ratnakar. The exhibition, a heartfelt tribute to the role of women in society, showcased the artistic brilliance and profound messaging that defines Dr. Ratnakar’s work.

To mark this occasion, the founding chairman of BKS, Mr. Melwyn Williams, felicitated My Uday Shankar and Dr. Lal Ratnakar the prestigious Lifetime Honorary Membership of BKS. Speaking at the event, Mr. Williams said, “Today, we are here to support Dr. Ratnakar by honoring him with lifetime honorary membership of BKS. This recognition aims to inspire fine arts students and enthusiasts, ensuring that art reaches as many as possible.”

The event also featured famous cartoonist and illustrator, Mr. Uday Shankar Ganguly, who praised the initiative by BKS to bring artists and their work to a larger audience. He remarked, “The efforts of BKS in uniting artists and promoting their work are commendable. Dr. Ratnakar’s paintings are one of a kind, deeply inspiring for fine arts professionals and enthusiasts alike.”
