New Delhi: Authorities have cordoned off a school in the Greater Kailash area of Delhi following the receipt of an email containing a bomb threat. The police, while continuing their search, have not yet identified any suspicious items on the premises.
“A school in Greater Kailash of Delhi received an email threatening bomb attack. The email claimed a bomb had been planted in the school yesterday. So far, no suspicious items have been found during the investigation, and legal proceedings have commenced,” stated a representative of the Delhi Police.
This incident follows a similar threat earlier this year, where 150 schools in the Delhi-NCR region received threatening emails, believed to have originated from Budapest, Hungary. A Delhi Police official confirmed that the IP addresses associated with these emails have been traced to Budapest. Delhi Police plans to coordinate with Hungarian authorities to further investigation.
