Great News for Car Shoppers: Automakers Offering Discounts of Up to Rs 2 Lakh on These Cars as the Festive Season Kicks Off

Here’s some exciting news for those in the market for their dream cars. Many automakers are providing substantial discounts on various car models as the festive season begins. Notably, these enticing offers range from Rs 20,000 to Rs 200,000 and encompass cash discounts, trade-in incentives, loyalty bonuses, and corporate discounts. Additionally, dealers are contributing by offering discounts on car accessories.

These festive offers are available until October 31, with some automakers focusing on slower-selling models, especially compact hatchbacks and sedans.

What’s intriguing is that these discounts are not limited to just traditional cars. Even sport utility vehicles (SUVs) and CNG-powered models, typically in high demand, are part of this promotion.

Leading car dealers like Maruti Suzuki are providing discounts of up to Rs 61,000 on models such as the Alto, Wagon R, Celerio, and S Presso, with the Swift offering discounts worth Rs 54,000.

Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Officer of Marketing and Sales at Maruti Suzuki India, stated to Financial Express, “This isn’t a blanket discounting trend across all models because some models have a waiting period. We’ve adjusted production for those models where supply exceeds demand and inventory is higher.”

Hyundai is also offering discounts on various models, ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 200,000. For instance, the Grand i10 Nios comes with a Rs 43,000 discount, while the Aura offers benefits of Rs 33,000. The all-electric Kona features an impressive Rs 200,000 discount.

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) is now offering discounts of up to Rs 90,000 on the XUV300 and Rs 125,000 on the all-electric vehicle of XUV400. Bolero and Bolero Neo have discounts of Rs 70,000 and Rs 50,000, respectively. However, there are no offers on the XUV700, Scorpio N, and Scorpio Classic.

Other SUVs such as the Toyota Hilux, Citroen C5 Aircross, Volkswagen Tiguan, Jeep Meridian and Compass, MG Hector, and MG ZS EV are also offering discounts ranging from Rs 100,000 to Rs 500,000.

Prominent automakers anticipate record sales of 1 million units during the entire festive season, with a substantial number of deliveries and registrations expected during the Navratri, Dussehra, and Diwali period spanning October and November.
