Rajasthan’s culture and traditions came alive in Delhi as Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma inaugurated Rajasthan Utsav 2025 at Bikaner House. The nine-day festival, which also features the Rajeevika Craft Fair and Food Festival, celebrates the state’s rich heritage, art, and cuisine.
The event was attended by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, and several Rajasthan MPs, including C.P. Joshi, P.P. Chaudhary, and Madan Rathore.
The celebrations began with CM Bhajan Lal Sharma offering prayers to Lord Ganesha and lighting a ceremonial lamp. He then explored the various stalls set up by artisans from across Rajasthan, interacting with them and appreciating their craftsmanship.
Speaking at the event, he wished all Rajasthanis on the occasion of Rajasthan Foundation Day and said, “Rajasthan was united under the leadership of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and today, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance, it is progressing towards prosperity.”
He also invited people from Delhi and beyond to visit the festival and experience Rajasthan’s vibrant culture, music, dance, and cuisine.
The festival featured a cultural evening organized by the Rajasthan Tourism Department, showcasing traditional performances.
The event opened with a Ganesh Vandana by Naveen Sharma and his team from Bharatpur, followed by the Mayur Dance and the visually stunning Phoolon Ki Holi, which received loud applause from the audience.
The performances continued with the Charkula Dance by Awadhesh Kumar, Bhapang Vadan by Kafrooddin Mewati from Deeg, and Mashak Vadan by Arjun Singh Julia from Suratgarh. The evening concluded with the mesmerizing Chari Dance by Aneesuddin and the graceful Ghoomar Dance by Kalpana Chauhan.
Rajasthan Utsav 2025 will run for nine days at Bikaner House, offering visitors a chance to explore Rajasthan’s art, crafts, and cuisine. From handcrafted textiles and jewelry to authentic Rajasthani food, the festival is a perfect opportunity to experience the essence of Rajasthan.
The event was also attended by Rajasthan’s Chief Secretary cum Chief Resident Commissioner Sudhansh Pant, principal Resident Commissioner Alok and other senior officials.
