CM Rekha Gupta praises Operation Sindoor, says PM Modi kept his promise to the nation and opposition should stop questioning the armed forces

New Delhi, May 7, 2025

Operation Sindoor: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian Armed Forces for the successful air strike conducted under ‘Operation Sindoor’, targeting terrorist leadership in Pakistan.

Speaking to reporters, CM said, “While we’re handling small-scale cleaning here, Prime Minister Modi has taken charge of a much bigger cleansing operation. He has taught Pakistan a lesson through this decisive retaliation.”

She hailed the action as a fulfillment of Modi’s earlier commitment: “The Prime Minister had promised the sisters of this nation that there would be change, and today he has kept that promise.”

She also shared a post on the social media platform x (formerly Twitter) with the caption: “Bharat Mata Ki Jay”

Taking a swipe at the opposition, CM Gupta questioned their stance on national security. “Those who are raising doubts about this operation should go there themselves and pick up weapons. Our forces have shown unmatched bravery and heroism.”

She extended her gratitude to the Indian Armed Forces, saying, “We thank our defence forces for their courage and valour. They have delivered a strong and fitting response to Pakistan.”

The remarks come amid widespread political reactions following India’s air strike across the border, which officials have said was a targeted action against terror infrastructure.
