CMF Phone 1 Debuts in India: Pricing and Key Details

CMF, a sub-brand of Nothing, has launched its first smartphone, the CMF Phone 1, in India on July 8. This device stands out with its interchangeable back cover and a distinctive design that supports proprietary accessories like lanyards. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 5G SoC, the CMF Phone 1 features an AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and a dual 50-megapixel rear camera setup. It boasts an IP52-rated build and a robust 5,000mAh battery supporting both wired and reverse charging.

Pricing and Availability of CMF Phone 1 in India

The CMF Phone 1 starts at Rs. 15,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model, with an 8GB RAM + 128GB variant available for Rs. 17,999. The phone comes in Black, Blue, Light Green, and Orange and will be available for purchase on Flipkart starting July 12 at 12:00 pm IST, as well as on the CMF India website and through various retail partners.

An introductory offer allows customers to buy the base model for Rs. 14,999 and the top-end model for Rs. 16,999 with special bank discounts. Accessories include a case priced at Rs. 1,499, a stand at Rs. 799, a lanyard cable for Rs. 799, and a card case also for Rs. 799.

A limited sale will occur on July 9 at Lulu Mall in Bengaluru from 7:00 pm IST, where the first 100 buyers will receive free CMF Buds.

Specifications and Features of CMF Phone 1

Running on Android 14-based Nothing OS 2.6, the dual-SIM (Nano) CMF Phone 1 is set to receive two years of major Android updates and three years of security patches. It sports a 6.7-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) AMOLED LTPS display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 395ppi pixel density, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 2000 nits peak brightness.

The phone is driven by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7300 5G processor with up to 8GB of RAM and a RAM Booster feature that can virtually expand the memory to 16GB.

The camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary camera with an unspecified Sony sensor and electronic image stabilization (EIS), alongside a portrait sensor with 2x zoom. The front camera is 16 megapixels.

Storage options include up to 256GB of internal storage, expandable up to 2TB. Connectivity features are 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and a USB Type-C port. It also includes an optical in-display fingerprint sensor and an IP52 rating for dust and splash resistance.

The 5,000mAh battery supports 33W fast charging and 5W reverse wired charging, promising up to two days of battery life on a single charge and up to 50 percent charge in 20 minutes. The phone measures 164x8x77mm and weighs 197g, with the vegan leather variant being 9mm thick and weighing 202g.

The CMF Phone 1 features interchangeable covers available in various colors, materials, and finishes, allowing users to personalize their phones with custom attachable accessories. The Blue and Orange rear panels feature a vegan leather layer, adding a slight increase to the phone’s weight.
