Confirmed! Alia Bhatt Joins YRF Spy Universe to Star in Pathaan-Inspired Film

After months of rumors, Yash Raj Films’ CEO, Akshaye Widhani, has officially confirmed that Alia Bhatt will take on the lead role in an upcoming movie set in the renowned YRF Spy Universe. The announcement came during FICCI Frames, where Widhani revealed that Bhatt will lead the cast of a spy thriller slated to begin filming later this year.

In this action-packed adventure, Alia Bhatt will be joined by Sharvari Wagh, both portraying super-agents. Widhani expressed great excitement for the Spy Universe, describing it as a significant asset for YRF both financially and culturally. He hinted at a broader cinematic scope within the universe, with more films in development.

Looking back at the success of past Spy Universe films like Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, and Tiger 3, Widhani tantalized the audience with news of the upcoming War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji and starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani.

Widhani assured fans that more details about the expansion of the Spy Universe would be unveiled in due course, creating anticipation for the continuation of this thrilling cinematic journey under the YRF banner. With Alia Bhatt in the lead role, the forthcoming spy thriller is expected to be a significant addition to the franchise’s success.
