#Swati Maliwal Breaks Down During Assault Case Hearing; Court Reserves Decision on Bibhav Kumar’s Bail

New Delhi: Swati Maliwal, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP, has been in the spotlight since she accused Bibhav Kumar, a close aide and personal assistant to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, of assault. Maliwal reported the alleged assault to the Delhi police on May 14, the day after the incident. In response, Bibhav Kumar filed a counter-complaint, accusing Maliwal of unauthorized entry into the CM’s Civil Lines residence and verbal abuse.

Bibhav Kumar, who was subsequently arrested by the Delhi police, appeared before the Tis Hazari Court in Delhi today for his bail hearing. Swati Maliwal also attended the hearing and became emotional during the proceedings. The court has reserved its decision on Bibhav Kumar’s bail.
