Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has accused the BJP and Congress of a covert alliance or “jugalbandi” as the 2025 Delhi Assembly polls approach. There is no reported pact between the two parties, but Kejriwal alleged they are secretly collaborating to influence the election outcome.
In response to this remark from Kejriwal, BJP has dismissed the accusation, calling it a baseless and politically motivated insult. While a senior BJP member has classified Kejriwal as a person who is looking for an escape route just to avoid facing the upcoming voting by self-reproach of the other’s sins.
As for Congress, it has neither accepted nor rejected the allegations. According to party sources, the party leadership is keeping a close eye on the situation before speaking on it. Kejriwal did not show restraint in his rally at Seelampur even as Rahul Gandhi went all guns blazing against him.
Soon after Kejriwal’s comments, BJP’s Amit Malviya reacted sharply, asking Kejriwal to first ensure he wins his seat before speaking about saving the country. “Pehle apni seat jit lo. Desh bachane ki baatein baad mein karna, Kejriwal,” Malviya said, upping the ante in the war of words.
