The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has now provided a weather forecast for Delhi for the first week of January 2024, spanning from January 1 to January 7. Explore the anticipated fog, maximum and minimum temperatures, and overall weather conditions in the city as projected by the IMD.

Delhi Weather Forecast for the Week
As per the official website of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the weather forecast for the initial seven days of January 2024 indicates a maximum temperature of 19.3 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 6.9 degrees Celsius for January 1-5, 2024. For January 6-10, 2024, the forecast suggests a maximum temperature of 19 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 6.9 degrees Celsius.

January 1, 2024: Max-Min Temp – 17 – 10.1 degrees Celsius; Mainly clear sky with shallow fog.


January 2, 2024: Max-Min Temp – 17 – 9 degrees Celsius; Mainly clear sky with shallow fog in the morning.


January 3, 2024: Max-Min Temp – 17 – 11 degrees Celsius; Mainly clear sky with shallow fog in the morning.


January 4, 2024: Max-Min Temp – 17 – 11 degrees Celsius; Mainly clear sky with shallow fog in the morning.


January 5, 2024: Max-Min Temp – 18 – 10 degrees Celsius; Mainly clear sky with shallow fog in the morning.


January 6, 2024: Max-Min Temp – 18 – 9 degrees Celsius; Mainly clear sky with shallow fog in the morning.


January 7, 2024: Max-Min Temp – 19 – 10 degrees Celsius; Partly cloudy sky with shallow fog in the morning.


According to the IMD, visibility categorizations include ‘very dense’ fog (0-50 meters), ‘dense’ fog (51-200 meters), ‘moderate’ fog (201-500 meters), and ‘shallow’ fog (501-1,000 meters). The IMD predicts a further drop in mercury during the first week of January 2024, with temperatures expected to range between 10 and 7 degrees Celsius at the Safdarjung Observatory in the national capital.
