Dhadak 2 Confirmed: Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri to Star in a Powerful Love Story Directed by Karan Johar

Great news for fans of the 2018 hit Dhadak! A sequel, Dhadak 2, has been officially announced. This upcoming film will feature Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri in the lead roles, and is set to premiere on November 22, 2024. Directed by the talented newcomer Shazia Iqbal, the motion poster for Dhadak 2 hints at a thought-provoking narrative with slogans such as “When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes duty” and “Dalit lives matter,” suggesting a focus on critical social issues.

In Dhadak 2, Siddhant Chaturvedi takes on the role of Neelesh, while Triptii Dimri plays Vidisha. Their characters embark on a romantic journey that faces severe challenges due to their differing social statuses and castes, leading to intense family opposition.

The original Dhadak, which starred Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter, was a remake of the acclaimed Marathi film Sairat. It captivated audiences with its exploration of love transcending social boundaries and was praised for its emotional impact.

Dhadak 2 aims to build on this legacy, presenting a compelling story that delves into the complexities of romance in the face of societal pressures. By addressing issues of class and caste, the film will examine whether true love can triumph over deeply ingrained social divides.

This highly anticipated film is a collaboration between Zee Studios, Dharma Productions, and Cloud 9 Pictures. Fans are eagerly counting down the days to see this poignant love story unfold on the big screen.
