Social media flooded with false condolence messages for Dharmendra creating panic

Legendary Bollywood actor Dharmendra, 89, is currently admitted at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital after he complained of breathlessness. On 10 November 2025, reports stated that he was moved to the ICU and placed on ventilator support for closer monitoring.

Soon after this, social media started flooding with false claims declaring that the actor had passed away. The situation got worse when some verified public figures and known personalities posted condolence messages. This created a huge confusion and made many people believe the information was true, even though it was completely fake.

Hema Malini Gives The Real Update

Dharmendra’s wife and veteran actress Hema Malini clarified that the family is praying for his fast recovery. She confirmed that he is under medical supervision at the hospital. She also requested everyone not to believe or circulate unverified updates.

Esha Deol Shuts Down Fake Death News

Esha Deol also issued a statement and confirmed that her father is alive, stable and recovering. She expressed disappointment that some media platforms and random social media accounts created panic by spreading irresponsible and baseless claims about her father’s death.

Esha appealed to the public and media to depend only on authorised medical updates and family statements instead of sharing sensational rumours.

Celebrities and members of the film fraternity have been sending prayers and positive wishes to Dharmendra. Fans across India and abroad are also praying for his fast recovery. Some film personalities have personally called the family or reached the hospital to show their support.
