Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra’s health has deteriorated once again. The 89-year-old celebrity has spent the last few days in Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital. Age-related health issues continue to affect his condition, and his well-wishers across the country are praying for his speedy recovery.

Close Friend Shares Update

Actor Avtar Gill, a close friend of Dharmendra, shared that his health had not been stable for some time. He mentioned that someone close informed him in the morning that the medicines were not showing much effect. However, Gill also clarified that he does not have a confirmed update on Dharmendra’s present condition.

Family Rushes to Mumbai

According to sources, Dharmendra’s wife Prakash Kaur’s daughters—Ajita (based in the US) and Vijeta (residing in London)—are reportedly flying to Mumbai after hearing about his worsening health.

Routine Checkup 10 Days Ago

Dharmendra was taken to the hospital about ten days prior for what his team described as a planned regular examination. They had assured that there was no cause for concern. However, reports now suggest that age has been taking a toll on his overall health.

Hema Malini Gave a Health Update

A few days ago, when photographers asked Hema Malini about Dharmendra’s health, she subtly indicated that he was doing better. With folded hands, she reassured fans that there was no need to worry.

Earlier Checkups in the US Too

The actor has previously been admitted to the hospital.Known to be health-conscious, Dharmendra has often undergone medical checkups and treatment abroad as well, especially concerning age-related issues.

A Remarkable Acting Journey

Dharmendra’s journey in Hindi cinema is among the most impactful and long-lasting. Fondly referred to as the “He-Man” of Bollywood, he excelled in both action and comedy. Films like Chupke Chupke, Pratigya, Yamla Pagla Deewana, and many others showcased his versatile talent. He remained active on screen throughout the 80s and 90s.

Most recently, he appeared in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, where his kissing scene with Shabana Azmi created quite a buzz. 2025 will see the release of his next movie, Ikkis.
