World-Famous Peace Envoy Faces Grave Danger from Political Extremists
New Delhi, October 22, 2024:
Internationally renowned peace envoy and Nobel Peace Prize nominee Dr. K.A. Paul has disclosed life-threatening dangers he faces from political extremists. Dr. Paul, who serves as the president of the Global Peace Initiative, has written to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, urging immediate protection due to imminent threats to his life. Known for his peace efforts in over 155 countries, Dr. Paul claims that powerful political forces within India are attempting to permanently silence him.
Life Threats From Prominent Political Figures
In his letter, Dr. Paul has accused top political leaders, including Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, his son K.T. Rama Rao, and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, of hindering his security arrangements. These threats intensified following a brutal daylight attack on May 2, 2022, in Sircilla, where Dr. Paul was assaulted in the presence of police officers. Despite several orders from the Telangana High Court, no security measures have been provided to date.
Conspiracy by Extremists and Corrupt Politicians Unveiled
Dr. Paul has also accused radical elements within the RSS and BJP of conspiring to eliminate him due to his exposure of corruption, including the illegal sale of assets from the Vizag Steel Plant worth billions. Despite court orders and promises from senior government officials, no action has been taken to ensure his protection.

A Threat to Dr. K.A. Paul Could Tarnish India’s Global Reputation
Dr. Paul warned that if any harm comes to him, it would damage India’s reputation as a democratic and just nation. His death would expose the government’s failure to protect one of its most prominent peace envoys. His legal battles against corruption have made him a target of some of the country’s most dangerous political criminals.
An Urgent Appeal to Home Minister Amit Shah
Dr. Paul has made a final and urgent appeal to Home Minister Amit Shah, asking him to act before it’s too late. While he remains committed to fighting for the rights of India’s farmers, youth, women, and the poor, he emphasized that the constant threats have made it impossible for him to continue his work.
