Dr. K.A. Paul came out swinging at the government during a fiery press conference at Andhra Bhavan, Ashoka Road, New Delhi. He announced his plans to file a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the Supreme Court, demanding accountability for the horrifying Kumbh Mela stampede tragedy. Calling out the rampant corruption and preferential treatment given to VIPs at religious gatherings, he made it clear that justice must be served.
“This blatant abuse of power must end! These so-called leaders enjoy VIP privileges while the common man is trampled to death. Are they expecting a VIP entrance to heaven too?” thundered Dr. Paul.
He did not hold back in condemning the government’s inaction and systematic failures that led to yet another preventable tragedy. “These corrupt politicians are looters, cheaters, liars, and killers! The blood of innocent devotees is on their hands, and I will not stand by while they escape responsibility,” he declared.
Dr. Paul’s PIL will call for a full-fledged investigation into the tragedy, immediate resignation of those responsible, and strict measures to end VIP culture at public and religious events. “Every life lost is a testament to the apathy of this government. Enough is enough,” he said, urging the Supreme Court to ensure swift justice.
Neglect of Telugu StatesWhile addressing the media, Dr. Paul also slammed the government for its decade-long neglect of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. He reiterated urgent financial demands that must be included in the upcoming Union Budget:
₹35,000 crore for the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant – No more loans, only direct funding for its survival.
₹25,000 crore for Amaravati’s development – The capital city must be built, not abandoned.
₹25,000 crore for the Polavaram Project – Two decades of delays must end now.
He also called for ₹28000 crore to be allocated for the suffering 28,000 villages across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, stating, “Promises were made for village development. Where is it? All we see is betrayal.”
Dr. Paul’s press conference was a direct challenge to the ruling establishment. His aggressive stance and unfiltered attack on systemic corruption resonated with the public and media alike. “This fight is not just for the Telugu people; it is for every Indian betrayed by this corrupt system,” he said.
Dr. Paul urged the Supreme Court to take swift action on his upcoming PIL and called on citizens to demand justice. “The people deserve better. We will not be silenced,” he concluded.
