Dr. K. A. Paul urges global leaders to prevent World War III amid escalated tension between US-Russia
Delhi/ Los Angeles, 21 November 2024
Dr. K. A. Paul, the founder of the Global Peace Initiative, played a significant role in 1994 in negotiating peace between Russia, Ukraine, and the United States. Now, with the American government under President Biden signaling support for Ukraine to use U.S.-made missiles against Russian territory, Dr. Paul warns that this is a step toward provoking a third world war.
Dr. K. A। Paul has been friends with Joe Biden since 1991, when Biden was a senator from Wilmington, Delaware. He even campaigned for Biden in 2020. However, President Biden is now avoiding communication with Dr. Paul. In contrast, President Putin, during a recent conversation with Dr. Paul, expressed concerns over how the U.S. and NATO are provoking Russia. Putin specifically criticized the move to invite Ukraine, a neighboring country with deep ties to Russia, to join NATO, questioning its legality.
Dr. K. A. Paul, known for his diplomatic efforts, has a history of mediating global conflicts. He previously spent 18 months negotiating between Saddam Hussein and President George W. Bush, attempting to prevent the Iraq War. Despite his efforts, the U.S. invaded Iraq, leading to what Dr. Paul describes as an $8 trillion war that devastated the country, destroyed millions of lives, and destabilized the region. He has also written extensively about U.S. involvement in Iraq, Syria, and Libya.
Dr. K. A. Paul is calling on global leaders, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to take the escalating situation seriously and work towards peace. He highlights his past successes in negotiating peace, including:
• Convincing Liberian President Charles Taylor to step down, a move credited with ending the Liberian Civil War.
• Preventing major conflicts such as the India-Pakistan war in 2002.
• Mediating peace agreements in Haiti, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Burundi, and more.
Dr. K. A. Paul emphasizes the catastrophic consequences of a potential third world war, warning that millions of lives across the U.S., Europe, and elsewhere could be lost if current tensions escalate further. He calls on all leaders and citizens to work together to avoid conflict, reminding the world that “either we live together, or we die together.”
Dr. K. A. Paul is planning to meet with leaders at a summit in Los Angeles on November 23 at the Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. His efforts aim to rally peace advocates worldwide and inspire global leaders to prioritize diplomacy over war.
