KA Paul, renowned humanitarian and global peace advocate, has called on President Trump and U.S. policymakers to pursue a balanced, inclusive approach to peace, exemplified in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, where Paul commends Trump’s support for considering all sides involved. He emphasizes that genuine peace requires inclusive dialogue and cannot be achieved through unilateral action alone.
“True peace requires the engagement of all parties; a one-sided solution only deepens divides,” said Paul. Recognizing Trump’s foreign policy decisions, Paul praised the President’s move to relocate the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem in 2018, marking it as a substantial step for diplomatic relations. However, Paul also expressed concerns over unmet economic promises, including Indian Prime Minister Modi’s pledge to elevate the rupee to be on par with the dollar.
Paul reiterated the importance of India as a global partner for the U.S., especially as a strategic counter to China. “India’s immense contributions in technology, with leaders at Google, Microsoft, and countless others, underline why the U.S. should recognize India as an equal ally,” he remarked. Paul urged Trump to foster policies that bolster U.S.-India ties, highlighting India’s role as a stabilizing force and a key player in global technology, Science , medicine, and innovation.
As part of this vision, Paul advocated for a U.S.-India visa waiver program to enhance educational and professional opportunities for Indian students and skilled workers. Additionally, he proposed a dual citizenship arrangement, mirroring agreements the U.S. holds with Canada and several European nations, aimed at deepening cross-border collaboration and recognizing India’s strategic importance.
Looking forward, Paul announced an upcoming Global Peace Summit on November 23, where he will urge India to take a prominent role in international diplomacy. He has invited key Indian political leaders from all parties to join this initiative, and many confirmed, seeking a united effort to make India a leading force in promoting global stability and peace.
