Earthquake in Delhi-NCR: Residents across Delhi and the NCR felt mild tremors on Saturday afternoon around 12:17 PM, after a 5.8 magnitude earthquake struck the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border region.

According to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), the quake originated at a depth of 86 km. Though the epicentre was far away, the tremors were strong enough to be felt across parts of northern India, including the capital.

In Delhi, the shaking lasted only a few seconds but was enough to prompt people to step out of homes and offices, especially in high-rise buildings. Many took to social media, sharing their experiences and short videos showing fans and lights swaying.

There have been no reports of damage or injuries so far. Authorities are monitoring the situation and have not issued any alerts.
