The Ambani family, prominent in Indian business circles, traces its legacy from Dhirubhai Ambani, whose son Mukesh Ambani has carried forward the Reliance conglomerate, a major player in India’s business arena.
Following Dhirubhai’s passing in 2002, Mukesh and his brother Anil Ambani took the reins of the family business. Mukesh, the elder sibling, led Reliance Industries to global prominence.
Residing in the opulent Antilia in Mumbai, Mukesh Ambani, along with his wife Nita Ambani and their children, Anant, Akash, and Isha, actively participates in Reliance Industries Ltd.
Mukesh Ambani :
Mukesh Ambani attended Hill Grange High School and St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai before obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Institute of Chemical Technology. He briefly pursued an MBA at Stanford University but left to aid his father’s enterprise.
Nita Ambani :
Nita Ambani, apart from her roles in Reliance, founded the Reliance Foundation and the Dhirubhai Ambani International School. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Narsee Monjee College.
Isha Ambani :
Isha Ambani, a non-executive director at Reliance Strategic Investments, pursued psychology at Yale University and earned an MBA from Stanford. She played a vital role in Reliance Retail Ventures and was married to Anand Piramal in 2018.
Anant Ambani :
Anant Ambani, currently overseeing Reliance Industries Ltd.’s energy division, studied at Brown University. He is engaged to Radhika Merchant, who has a background in economics and is a Bharatanatyam dancer.
Akash Ambani :
Akash Ambani, Mukesh’s elder son, studied Economics at Brown University. He chairs Reliance Jio and married Shloka Mehta, who holds degrees in Anthropology and Law from Princeton University and the London School of Economics.
