Students from across Delhi came together to celebrate youth, creativity, and the power of visual storytelling at MERI College’s Inter-College Photography Contest, held on April 22. Organized by the Precious Pixels Club, the event was themed “Students in Action” and invited participants to capture the dynamic essence of campus life through their lenses.

Hosted by students Amandeep Singh and Nilisha Sharma, the event opened with an enthusiastic welcome and a brief introduction to the Precious Pixels Club—a student-led initiative known for promoting photography through workshops and competitions.

The highlight of the inaugural session was a special address by Prof. Vinesh Kumar, a veteran media professional with over 25 years of experience in television, film, and academia. Encouraging students to treat photography as a form of storytelling, Prof. Kumar emphasized how visual expression can become a powerful voice for youth.

The contest received a wide range of entries that showcased student life in all its vibrancy—be it moments on the sports field, group studies, cultural events, or quiet campus corners. Judges evaluated the photographs based on creativity, technical excellence, and the ability to evoke emotion. The feedback was not just appreciative but also insightful, aimed at nurturing young talent.

With strong participation and a shared spirit of artistic expression, the event turned into more than just a contest—it became a celebration of youthful energy and storytelling. The Precious Pixels Club plans to build on this success and continue offering platforms for students to explore and share their creative visions.
