Journalism students at MERI college achieve 100% placement

10 Students placed with Zee Media for editorial and production roles
New Delhi: The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at the Management Education and Research Institute (MERI) has achieved 100% placement for all its final-semester BA (JMC) students who opted for campus recruitment this year. Among the highlights is the selection of ten students by Zee Media for roles spanning news writing, video editing, and sports coverage.
The MERI Group of Institutions continues to follow a strategic, relationship-driven placement model. Rather than a one-time engagement, media companies collaborate with the college throughout the year via Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), contributing not only to placements and paid internships but also by participating in academic projects, guest lectures, mock interviews, skill-building sessions, curriculum reviews, and event collaborations.
In preparation for the job market, students at MERI receive comprehensive training in group discussions, aptitude tests, communication skills, presentation techniques, and office etiquette. Before attending interviews, students undergo rigorous job profile familiarization and readiness sessions.
In addition to Zee Media, MERI journalism students have secured placements at several other media and communication organizations, including 95 Films, IndiGo, Home Public Relations, Super Aids, Make My Radio, and Digizen.

MERI College emphasizes practical, hands-on learning. Its on-campus TV studio functions as a full-fledged production house, where students regularly produce news bulletins and radio shows for the institution’s internet radio channel, MERI Vani. Acting as campus reporters, they cover college events and publish articles in national newspapers—bridging classroom learning with real-world experience.
The consistent focus on practical training and industry engagement ensures that MERI journalism graduates are well-prepared to enter the media landscape as skilled professionals.
