Disaster Response: Assisting during natural and human-made disasters.
There is no public information indicating that USAID is involved in bioweapons research. In fact, while they use the phrase weapons programs, their activities are primarily meant to ensure health and stability around the world.
COVID-19 and its connection with USAID
The origins of the COVID-19 pandemic are a subject of extensive research and investigation, and scientific debate regarding COVID’s origin probably began shortly after the virus was discovered. Despite growing concerns about a lab link in the media, scientific communities’ working assumption is that a natural spillover event most probably occurred, meaning the virus was transmitted from infected animals to humans. Investigations into the infectious origin of COVID-19 conducted by the WHO and others did not provide any credible evidence to support these theories alleging a bioweapons-related origin.
