Actor Parambrata Chatterjee Secretly Weds Girlfriend Piya Chakraborty

Bengali actor Parambrata Chatterjee, known for his roles in films like Aranyak and Bulbbul, has quietly tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Piya Chakraborty. The actor, who has also made a mark in Bollywood, shared the joyful news with his fans on social media. In a post featuring pictures from the wedding, Parambrata quoted, “Let us go then, you and I, When the evening is spread out against the sky…This is it. @piya_chakraborty.”

The viral wedding photos capture the couple radiating pure joy as they sit on a sofa, presumably signing a marriage certificate. Parambrata, the great nephew of renowned director Ritwik Ghatak, looked vibrant in a kurta and jacket, while the new bride, Piya, looked stunning in a red saree against a beautiful vintage backdrop.

The pictures garnered attention on social media, with fans and industry peers flooding the comment section with heart eyes and fire emojis. Fellow actors Konkona Sen Sharma and Sayani Gupta extended their congratulations to the newlyweds.

It is reported that Parambrata and Piya had been dating for two years, keeping their relationship private. Prior to her marriage to Parambrata, Piya Chakraborty, an NGO employee, was married to composer-singer Anupam Roy. Parambrata, on the other hand, was previously romantically involved with Dutch citizen Ike Schouten.

Apart from his work in Bengali films, Parambrata has ventured into Bollywood, making his Hindi debut alongside Vidya Balan in the 2012 movie Kahaani. He later collaborated with Anushka Sharma in the movie Pari and gained acclaim for his role in the Netflix original movie Bulbbul.
