Mumbai: Actor Ali Fazal is currently making headlines for his upcoming film Metro… In Dino. In an exclusive conversation with IANS, he not only expressed excitement about the film’s story but also showered praise on its director, Anurag Basu.

A Bigger Story Woven from Smaller Tales

Ali revealed that the film’s narrative is a blend of several smaller stories that come together to form a rich, emotional journey. Metro… In Dino is the concluding part of Anurag Basu’s hyperlink storytelling trilogy, following Life in a… Metro and Ludo.

An Interesting Incident from the Shoot

Ali shared an amusing behind-the-scenes story from the movie shoot. He said, “In one scene, I had to come in front of a car. The car was quite close, and I was told that if it felt like it would hit me, I should move out of the way. I did the scene, but I had no idea that Pankaj Tripathi was sitting inside the car!”

He added, “Later during promotions, Pankaj sir told me he was inside the car during that shot and even had lines to deliver. At first, I couldn’t recall it, but then it struck me—it was the white car. I love such small surprises on set!”

The film Metro… In Dino is brought to the audience by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Anurag Basu, and Tani Basu, under the banner of Anurag Basu Productions Pvt. Ltd.

The film is scheduled to release across Indian cinemas on July 4, 2025.
