Gayatri Joshi and Vikas Oberoi Make First Public Appearance After Italy Car Crash

Gayatri Joshi and Vikas Oberoi, known for their roles in the movie Swades, recently made their first public appearance in Mumbai following a car accident in Italy last month that gained significant media attention. The accident resulted in the unfortunate loss of two Swiss nationals. The couple was spotted at the grand launch event of Jio World Plaza on Tuesday night. During the event, Gayatri Joshi wore a vibrant yellow dress with feathered sleeves, while Vikas Oberoi sported a stylish blue suit. When they arrived at the launch of Jio World Plaza, the couple posed together for photographs and smiled, marking their return to the public eye since last accident.

For those unfamiliar with them, Vikas Oberoi serves as the chairman and Managing Director of Oberoi Realty, with a reported net worth of $3.7 billion, according to Forbes.

Regarding the accident in Italy, it involved two luxury sports cars, a Lamborghini and a Ferrari. Vikas was reportedly driving the blue Lamborghini Huracan during the incident, which resulted in severe damage to the Lamborghini’s roof. Fortunately, both Vikas and Gayatri emerged from the incident unharmed. An investigation later cleared Vikas of any wrongdoing, as there was reportedly no clear evidence of his involvement in the accident.

Oberoi Realty released a statement confirming the couple’s accident in Sardinia, Italy on October 2, 2023. The statement reassured the public that Vikas and Gayatri had safely returned to Mumbai, stating, “Our chairman and managing director, Mr. Vikas Oberoi, and his wife, Mrs. Gayatri Oberoi, had an accident in Sardinia, Italy on October 2, 2023. By the grace of God, they both are unharmed and have safely returned to Mumbai.”

Gayatri also expressed her gratitude for their well-being after the incident, saying, “Vikas and me are in Italy. We met with an accident there… With God’s grace, we both are absolutely fine.”
