Govind Namdev, a veteran actor, has finally spoken out about the dating rumors surrounding him and actress Shivangi Verma.

Govind Namdev, a veteran actor, is no stranger to controversy, but recent rumors about his personal life have him concerned. The 70-year-old actor, who recently acted in Ajay Devgn’s ‘Raid 2’, has finally spoken out about speculations of dating actress Shivangi Verma. The image’s caption, “Pyaar knows no age, no limits…” prompted curiosity among fans and social media users.
Govind Namdev denied the dating rumors. According to the actor, the viral photo was used to promote their next movie, “Gaurishankar Goharganj Wale.”
“As the film was taking shape,” he recalled, “we sat down—me, the director, the producer, and Shivangi—to figure out a solid strategy for promotions. I agreed it was important. We’d already done a fair bit of shooting, shared early morning exercise sessions, and captured some really nice shots.”
Namdev further revealed that Shivangi was the one who initially proposed establishing a romantic spark between them for commercial reasons. “Shivangi suggested that we portray a romantic angle, emphasizing that the visuals should reflect strong chemistry. I agreed but asked her what specific content she had envisioned. She responded, ‘There’s plenty. Content is key.’ I was fine with that and gave my nod. However, she later tagged the film in a particular way without discussing it with me. That’s when the misunderstanding began.”
Govind Namdev is married to Sudha Namdev. He addressed the speculations’ influence on his family life, saying, “There were rumors that my household had been impacted and my wife and I were considering living apart.” In spite of the controversy, Namdev declined to address the rumors, saying he had no need to “prove” anything to anybody.
