Housefull 5 Day 26 Box Office: Akshay Kumar’s Comedy Nears ₹300 Crore Worldwide

The film Housefull 5 continues its fourth-week run and becomes the second-highest overseas Indian grosser of 2025.
Strong Hold at Box Office on Day 26
Akshay Kumar and Jacqueline Fernandez’s ensemble comedy Housefull 5, released on June 6, continues its impressive box office journey. Even on Day 26, the film added ₹26 lakh to its tally—a minor rise from ₹25 lakh on Day 25—indicating consistent interest from audiences despite newer releases in theaters.
Domestic Box Office Inches Toward ₹200 Crore
In India, the film’s net earnings have reached ₹182.66 crore, with a gross total of ₹217.15 crore. Given its current pace, Housefull 5 is well on track to cross the ₹200 crore mark domestically—a benchmark that fewer Hindi films have achieved in recent years, especially in the comedy genre.
Worldwide Collection Crosses ₹287 Crore
Globally, Housefull 5 has earned ₹287.25 crore, comfortably surpassing its estimated production budget of ₹240 crore. With only around ₹12.75 crore more to reach the ₹300 crore milestone, trade analysts expect it to hit the mark in the coming days.
Overseas Collections Drive Global Success
The film has grossed ₹70.1 crore in overseas markets, making it the second-highest overseas earner among Indian films in 2025 so far. Its global appeal, fueled by the popularity of the franchise and Akshay Kumar’s international fanbase, has played a crucial role in its box office strength.
Akshay Kumar’s Comeback After Mixed Performances
Housefull 5 marks a notable return to form for Akshay Kumar, whose recent films had mixed box office performances. His 2022–2023 releases, like Selfiee, Raksha Bandhan, and Ram Setu, struggled to make a mark commercially. Even Mission Raniganj (2023) received critical appreciation but had limited box office success.
The 2024 action film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, co-led by Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, showed some improvement in box office returns. Now, with Housefull 5, he has bounced back in a big way—reaffirming his command over the comedy genre and his draw among family audiences.
The Housefull franchise, launched in 2010, has consistently drawn crowds with its over-the-top comedy, star-studded casts, and high entertainment quotient. The fifth installment continues the tradition while expanding the universe, with actors like Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, and others joining the ensemble.
Despite critical reviews being mixed, audience turnout has remained steady—proving once again that the franchise formula continues to work for mass entertainment.
₹300 Crore Worldwide Club
Housefull 5 has only ₹12.75 crore left to cross the coveted ₹300 crore global mark. Housefull 5 is expected to achieve the feat soon, making it one of the top-grossing Hindi films of the year so far.
