Akhay Kumar’s ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ set to release in Telugu, announces actor

Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh has made a strong impact on audiences with its powerful portrayal of patriotism and historical events. After receiving a positive response at the box office and connecting emotionally with viewers in Hindi, the film is now set to reach a wider audience.

Actor Akshay Kumar shared the big update on social media, announcing that the film will release in Telugu on May 23, 2025.

With this release, the story will now connect with Telugu-speaking viewers who have a deep appreciation for historical and patriotic cinema.

Kesari Chapter 2 was released in Hindi on April 18, 2025, and stars Akshay Kumar as C. Sankaran Nair, a lawyer who sued the British Empire following the Jallianwala Bagh atrocity.

Along with him movie also features R. Madhavan who plays British government lawyer Nevill MacKinlay, while Ananya Panday as Dilreet Gill, a fellow lawyer supporting the legal battle.

The film is directed by Karan Singh Tyagi and is based on Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat’s book “The Case That Shook the Empire”.
