“I’m just starting out, it’s unfair to compare us”: Palak Tiwari on comparisons with mother

Palak Tiwari, known for her roles in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and The Bhutni, recently spoke about the constant comparisons made between her and her mother, popular television actress Shweta Tiwari. During a conversation with news agency IANS, Palak expressed that she had only just begun her journey in the industry, while her mother had already built a long, successful, and inspiring career. In her view, drawing parallels between them at this stage did not make much sense.

She shared that she remained unaffected by public commentary and preferred not to respond directly. Instead, she felt it was better to stay silent and let her mother deal with the attention. She believed such comparisons stemmed from misunderstanding her current position as a newcomer in the industry.
Palak, widely known as the ‘Bijlee Bijlee girl’ following her viral music video, looked up to her mother as a role model. She admired the deep bond Shweta had formed with her audience over the years and hoped to achieve something similar through her own work. While she didn’t see a physical resemblance between herself and her mother, she aspired to match her mother’s impact on viewers. According to her, even a fraction of that connection would make her feel accomplished.
She will be next seen in Romeo S3, an action-drama film directed by Guddu Dhanoa, in which she is playing the role of a journalist.
Romeo S3 is scheduled for theatrical release on May 16, with Thakur Anoop Singh appearing alongside Palak in the role of a police officer.
