Mumbai: A video of a woman in a burqa removing a Pakistani flag poster from the stairs of Mumbai’s Vile Parle railway station is going viral on social media, drawing a wave of hate and backlash.

The video was shared on reddit with the title: “Look at the Vile Parle railway station incident, Fatima is more fanatic than Abdul.”

The video shows the woman quietly taking down the poster, which had been placed on a stairway at the station. The incident has triggered strong reactions online, with many users questioning the circumstances and intent behind the act, while others have directed hate towards the woman.

It is still unclear who is behind the placement of these posters. Authorities have not yet responded to either incident, but the timing of these incidents has added to public anger, as they come in the wake of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam that killed 26 people. Emotions are running high across the country, and many see these acts as deliberate attempts to provoke further unrest.
