Ranbir Kapoor showcased his exceptional performance skills at the Filmfare Awards, proving once again why he is a phenomenal entertainer. Bringing a special charm to the event, he entered in his ‘Animal’ persona, wielding a replica of Animal’s machine pistol. To add to the excitement, Ranbir also treated the audience to a rendition of Bobby Deol’s popular song ‘Jamal Kudu’ from Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s directorial. The highlight of his act was dancing the ‘Jamal Kudu’ hook step with his seated wife, Alia Bhatt. The couple grooved while balancing a glass on their heads, mimicking the iconic move of Lord Bobby. And let’s not forget the adorable kiss Ranbir planted on Alia’s cheek. How sweet!
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s Dance to Jamal Kudu
Ranbir graced the award ceremony in a stylish black suit, while Alia looked stunning in a white saree paired with a corset blouse. Fans of the duo expressed their joy over the dancing video by flooding the comments with heart and heart-eye emojis. One user exclaimed, “Omg so cuteeee (sic).” Another wrote, “Awww❤️ rk alia❤️ (sic),” and a third user gushed, “I swear they’re the cutest & that kiss from ranbir melted my heart😭😭😭 (sic).”
Speaking briefly to the media about his chances of winning an award, Ranbir humorously stated, “I know my lady (Alia Bhatt) is coming; I’ll take her home today, but I don’t know about the black lady (award trophy).” Expressing gratitude, he added, “I would like to thank the Government of Gujarat; they made such great preparations. Filmfare is a legacy award, and it is always great to be here. It’s when the entire fraternity comes together and celebrates each other’s work, so I am really glad to be here. It’s been a great year for movies, so I am really happy. May the best man win.”
For those unfamiliar, the ‘Animal’ actor also shared the dance floor with his ‘Animal’ co-star Triptii Dimri, shaking a leg to their song ‘Pehle Bhi Main.’
