Flipkart Minutes collects a platform fee of Rs 5 and offers free delivery for orders above Rs 99, which helps the firm make additional revenue.
New Delhi: 6 August 2024
Bellandur and HSR are two Bengaluru neighborhoods where Flipkart’s Minutes fast delivery service has started. Flipkart is a major online retailer. Flipkart Minutes was introduced at a time when e-commerce companies are looking more and more to the speedy delivery market. A significant portion of this expanding business is being contested by rivals including Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, and Zomato’s Blinkit.
A national launch date for Minutes services has not yet been announced by Flipkart.
Notably, Flipkart has already experimented with comparable services before the spike in delivery taking 15 to 20 minutes in 2021, thanks to Flipkart Quick and other services. But the new model is expected to provide a different approach and significantly faster delivery times.

Customers can now cancel or deny orders at the doorstep if the products do not live up to their expectations thanks to a unique option that Flipkart Minutes has implemented. Competitors do not currently provide this service. These early benefits are intended to draw in new customers and grow Flipkart’s existing clientele; but, as user adoption rises, these benefits may be reduced.
Inspired by the success of new entrants, Flipkart has been formulating concepts for its quick commerce area at least since March. Now that it has a strong e-commerce infrastructure, the business is looking at speedy delivery.

How is the performance of Flipkart Quick?
Delivery times for users are between 8 and 16 minutes, which is similar to other top fast commerce providers. These can be kinks that need to be worked out in the early going.
In order to increase money for the business, Flipkart Minutes is collecting a Rs 5 platform fee and providing free delivery for sales over Rs 99.
Amazon, Flipkart’s largest online competitor, has begun its yearly Great Freedom Festival sale, which will run until August 11. Flipkart is anticipated to make an announcement soon on their Independence Day special discount.
