New Delhi : Cricketer Hardik Pandya confirmed on Thursday that he and his wife, actress Natasa Stankovic, are divorcing. In an Instagram post, Pandya announced, “After four years together, Natasa and I have decided to mutually part ways.” He also disabled comments on the post.
Pandya’s statement read: “We tried our best and gave it our all, and we believe this decision is in the best interest of both of us.”
He acknowledged the difficulty of the decision, given the joy, mutual respect, and companionship they shared as they grew their family.
Pandya also stated that they will co-parent their son, Agastya: “We are blessed with Agastya, who will continue to be at the center of our lives. We will co-parent to ensure his happiness.”
He concluded the statement by requesting privacy during this challenging time.
Rumors about the couple’s divorce had circulated for over a month. Last month, Stankovic removed all her wedding pictures and dropped ‘Pandya’ from her last name on Instagram, though she later restored the photos. Social media users noted the absence of recent pictures of the couple together, and Pandya’s lack of a birthday post for Stankovic on March 4. Additionally, Stankovic was not seen supporting Pandya during the IPL 2024 season.
There has also been speculation that Stankovic may claim 70 percent of Pandya’s property as part of the divorce settlement.
