Amid a significant political crisis in Haryana, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has tendered his resignation. This development comes amidst reported tensions within the BJP-JJP Alliance. Khattar submitted his resignation to the state’s Governor, and now, BJP legislators are convening to determine his successor.
The BJP MLAs will meet to select the new Chief Minister, with reports suggesting that the swearing-in ceremony for the new government may take place today at 1:00 PM. Among the potential candidates for the chief ministerial position are Sanjay Bhatia and Nayab Singh Saini.
In a recent development, BJP minister Kanwar Pal Gurjar has asserted that only Manohar Lal Khattar will be sworn in again today, claiming that Khattar’s resignation was solely aimed at distancing the government from the JJP.
