Due to the ongoing hot weather, the Haryana government announced on Monday, May 27, that summer vacations in both state-run and private schools will begin earlier than planned, starting Tuesday, May 28.
The Directorate of School Education issued an order stating that all schools in the state will observe summer holidays from Tuesday, May 28 to June 30.
Previously, the state government had scheduled school closures from June 1 to 30.
However, given the severe heatwave conditions in the state, the decision was made to start the summer holidays from Tuesday, according to official sources.
In recent days, most areas in Haryana have experienced extreme heat, with maximum temperatures ranging between 44 and 46 degrees Celsius.
The Directorate of School Education has instructed all district education officers, elementary education officers, block education officers, and block elementary education officers to ensure compliance with the orders.
