The IMD has issued an orange alert for Vidarbha, Odisha, east Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Coastal Karnataka, while Mumbai and Thane are under a yellow alert for heavy rainfall.

An orange alert has been issued by the IMD for severe to extremely heavy rains expected across the nation today. East Rajasthan, South Interior Karnataka, Konkan, Goa, East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Odisha, Coastal Karnataka, and Western Madhya Pradesh are among the areas that are anticipated to be impacted.
Extremely heavy rain is predicted to fall over Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Konkan, Goa, and Madhya Maharashtra on July 27, 28, and 29. This information is provided by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). On July 26, 28, and 29, there is a chance of heavy rain in Saurashtra and Kutch, while from July 27 to 29, there is a chance of heavy rain in Rajasthan.
Extremely heavy rain is predicted for Uttarakhand on July 27 and 29, and East Rajasthan on July 26 and 28.
Along with Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan and Goa, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh, heavy rain is also expected over these regions from July 26 to 30, and Marathwada on July 27.
In Maharashtra, very heavy rain is predicted for Sindhudurg, Pune, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Satara, while Mumbai and Thane are under a yellow alert for heavy rain. Meanwhile, Delhi is expected to have mild to moderate rain along with thunderstorms today.

Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, and Muzaffarabad will all have significant rainfall on July 29. Along with Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh will have intense rains on July 26 and 30. West Rajasthan will experience heavy rains on July 26 and 28; and in Haryana-Chandigarh from July 27, 28, and 30. A yellow alert has been issued for these areas. On July 30, significant rain is predicted in Punjab.
On July 27, very heavy rain is predicted in the coastal and south interior regions of Karnataka, South India; in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, and North Interior Karnataka, heavy rain is predicted. From July 26 to 30, Mahe, Kerala, and South Interior and Coastal Karnataka will experience intense rain.
