The IMD announced a yellow alert for Delhi, Chandigarh, Haryana, East Uttar Pradesh, and Punjab over the next five days.

Heavy rains are expected to hit Delhi on Wednesday, with the IMD issuing a ‘yellow’ alert for the national capital and surrounding areas. According to the IMD, there will be no weather warnings in Delhi for the next two days, after which heavy rains are expected to hit the city on Saturday.
Heavy rains are likely to persist in eastern Uttar Pradesh for the next five days, beginning Wednesday, with the India Meteorological Department issuing a ‘yellow’ alert for the entire period.

However, IMD has issued an orange alert for ‘very heavy’ rainfall in western Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, as well as a yellow alert for ‘heavy’ rainfall on Thursday. There are no warnings for Friday or Saturday, but on Sunday, the western areas of Uttar Pradesh are expected to receive ‘heavy’ rainfall.
Uttarakhand is under an orange alert, with ‘very heavy’ rainfall expected on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. The state may expect ‘heavy’ rainfall on Thursday and Sunday.
Himachal Pradesh, which is already dealing with the aftermath of cloudbursts and landslides, may receive further rains on Wednesday, with the IMD issuing an orange signal for three days. The IMD has issued a yellow alert for Thursday, Friday, and Sunday, indicating that the state may have heavy rainfall.
A yellow alert has been issued in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh for heavy rains on Wednesday, with no warning for the next two days. According to the IMD, considerable rainfall is forecast across Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday.

West Rajasthan is forecast to have clear skies for the next three days, while East Rajasthan will likely see heavy rains for the following five days.
