Inauguration of Rajasthan Pavilion at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi

New Delhi, 14 November 2024

The Rajasthan Pavilion at the India International Trade Fair, which commenced Thursday at Pragati Maidan, has been revamped in line with this year’s theme, “Viksit Bharat @ 2047.” The pavilion was inaugurated by Rajasthan’s Chief Secretary, Shri Sudhansh Pant.

At the inauguration, Shri Pant highlighted that the pavilion showcases Rajasthan’s progress, innovation, and cultural heritage, matching the fair’s theme. Special arrangements have also been made to attract investors to the “Rising Rajasthan Summit – 2024,” where Indian and international visitors can explore investment opportunities in the state.

Shri Nagikya Gohain, Managing Director of Rajsico, stated that this year’s pavilion includes displays from RIICO, BIP, the Industries, Women and Child Development, and Tourism departments, along with RUDA and Rajasthali. He invited visitors to take advantage of the pavilion’s offerings of Rajasthan’s renowned products, all in one location.

The pavilion’s Director, Mr. Dinesh Sethi, noted that around 23 stalls from various regions of Rajasthan are showcasing handicrafts, including lac bangles, women’s makeup items, textiles, quilts, and traditional food. The Rajasthan Tourism Department has also highlighted programs to promote tourism, which has drawn significant visitor interest.

Rajasthan Day on 18th November

As in previous years, Rajasthan Day will be celebrated on 18th November with a vibrant cultural evening featuring performances by world-renowned Rajasthani artists.
